I came to USA with J-1 visa, to study. For two years, everything was good. But one semester I lost my status. This made me see the Immigration Judge. My attorney said to me Accept Voluntary Departure. I did that, but four months later I had a removal Order. For almost ten years, I continue to live, work, and teach in Connecticut and New York City. Then, ICE arrested me and sent me to a jail a big distance from my home. My wife and friends decide to hire Irwin Berowitz to help me. He delivered to my Deportation Officer a special request which ask him to allow me stay in the USA. My Deportation Officer would not even look at it and he just told Mr. Berowitz that I will be deported that’s it. Mr. Berowitz then made telephone calls all over, including Washington. He spoke to newspaper and television reporters too. He spoke to the Imam of my mosque. After spent more than one month in jail, ICE released me. No bond. My wife and I very happy. Today, I have a work permit, a job, and see many possibilities because doing good things in my community. Irwin Berowitz – Thank You for everything.

Due to some bad luck and mistakes made by my old attorney, ICE picked me up and put me in a jail. ICE planned to deport me. My wife contacted Mr. Irwin. My brother and my wife met with him. They were impressed by the way Mr. Irwin spoke with them. They hired him to file a stay application and a motion to reopen. The next day, he filed the stay application. Two days after that, he filed the motion. Mr. Irwin also called my deportation officer and the lawyer for the DHS all the time, telling them that I am a good person and a hard worker.
I did not get deported. The stay application was granted. The lawyer for the DHS signed off on the motion. I was released on a low bail. I have a good job. Now, it’s ten months later and I am a Permanent Resident of the United States! Thank you, Mr. Irwin.

I wanted to go to my home country and did something stupid. I got arrested and prosecuted by the federal government. My wife heard about Irwin Berowitz and hired him. He worked carefully with my criminal defense attorney while she was trying to make a plea deal. Mr. Berowitz found the best solution for me. The plea deal was accepted by the Prosecutor and the Judge. When I got out of jail, I was put in removal proceedings.
Mr. Berowitz has helped me in Immigration Court for three years. Whenever he needed to, he spoke on my behalf to the Immigration Judge or the lawyer for DHS. He stayed calm with my wife and me, even when things did not go well. When I called his office, he spoke to me or called me back when he got my message. One month ago, at my final hearing, the Immigration Judge granted me cancellation of removal. Last week, I received my Permanent Residency card in the mail. After 20 years, I can finally go home and see my mother.
If you need a good immigration attorney who will treat you right, get in touch with Irwin Berowitz.
